Abilene got her final CAC

Today we had the international Dogshow in Leuven/Belgium. Leuven has, beside the famous Cambridge University in the UK, the best University of Europe. Anyway Mrs. Wieremiejczyk-Wierzchowska from Poland judged the Bearded Collies. She found her BOB and new crowned Belgium Champion in (also INT-NL-Lux-D-VDH-PL-CZ-Slov-A Ch.) Firstprizebears Enfield, owned by Alberto Sanchez/Spain. “Lee” is the current leader in the EUKANUBA competition of group 1 in Belgium. But the most special victory was Lenka Klimovas (www.kiaora.cz) INT-NL-Lux-CZ-Slov Ch. Firstprizebears Abilene. She went today BOS got her 4th CAC and is now as well a Belgium Champion. At the age of 9,5  years!!!!!!

Abilene was shown and owned by us in 2003 and 2004 and won 3 CAC in Belgium, but had not the year inbetween the first and last CAC. Then we sold her to our dear friend Lenka in Czech. She had 3 litters and now we realised that she never finished her Belgium titel. I offered Lenka to have Abilene with me for a while to try to get her final CAC……….. out of Championclass, not as a veteran. The judge asked today “how old is she”… as usualy. I told her, if I tell you that she is 9,5 years maybe this will be negative for us, should i say she is 6 years??!!! The ladyjudge was a bit confused and asked me once again, how old is she…. yes 9,5 years.

The judge was really impressed by Abi, that she was looking like a million, strong topline and still looking tip top. After she recieved the CAC and BOS we were more then delighted. Abilene is a daughter of the late Ch. Windfiddlers Still Cruisin and our Ch. Fristprizebears Very Brown. On Top “Enfield’s” daughter bred in Slovenia won Best junior and 3rd best junior in show. We were not pulled out in the group but I expected it because the judge does not like our Type of Beardies…….anyway a very special day. Abilene is now on the couch and we are having a glass of champagne.
