Mel’s farewell

Tomorrow I will cry many tears. I will bring my “Mel”to the Airport of Amsterdam. I fell in love with this male out of the litter of our Lilli and Lasse. He has something special and I should have never ever sold him. But his new owner, Kathy from the beautiful California, already has more than one Beardie from us and saw that Mel has a lot of potential. As of now he will be called Gibbs. Thursday morning at 06.00 he has to be at the KLM Cargo Bay. To save him from a long night in the Animal Hotel of KLM, het will have a cool time with Doke and Piet van Lare in Ter Aar/NL. Piet used to be a pilot with KLM himself and has already transported several of our dogs in the Cockpit. After he retired, he offered me to take care of dogs that have to fly from Amsterdam. Tomorrow we drive to Ter Aar to hand over my so beloved Mel to Piet and Doke. Piet will make sure that Mel will be at the KLM Cargo Bay on Thursday morning at 06.00 hrs. And than, it is going to be waiting for several hours until we recieve a phonecall that Mel / Gibbs has arrived safely with his new owner.

Together with his 3 sisters, we have said farewell to mama Lilli in Reuver/NL. Lilli is living here with Thei and Eef Martens, together with two other Firstprizebear Ladies and their daughters Guffy and Geddes.
