Schoko wins Maastricht and latest news from Zwolle

Traditionally, during the last weekend of September, the Double Show of Maastricht is held. This beautiful Burgundy town in the utmost southern part of Limburg, the Netherlands is already worth the journey by itself. Having twice a change on a CACIB and a CAC is a very tempting event.
On the first day, Mrs. A. van Bussel/NL judged the Bearded Collies for her first time and on the 2nd day Mrs. C. Beattie from Ireland had been invited. For both days, I had entered our “Schoko”, because she would only need one ticket for the Netherlnds and one for the International Title. In fact, for the Netherlands Title a Res-CAC would have been enough. After I had entered her and paid the subscription fee, I noticed that Schoko had not reached the limit of being 1 year away from  her first victory, that was going to be on 29-09. One year earlier, on 29-09-2013 she had won her first CACIB. What a mess! Saturday brought beautiful weather, for this late Summer day and Schoko and I (together with King and Niki our OES’) spent the day in the MECC, the Halls where the Show of Maastricht is held. But our effort would pay off. Misses van Bussel, had to start judging the 15 entered Bearded Collies at around 13.00 hrs. Around 14.30, “Schoko” was a Netherlands Champion! The judge was very impressed by our 2,5 year old Ch. “Firstprizebears Liz Taylor” that she gave her the CACIB, CAC and Best Bitch. Earlier that day, our 17 month ol OES bitch “Niki” had also gotten the Netherlands Title, that I spontaneously decided not to go back on Sunday, but skip the Show and have a nice day on the couch. This, however didn’t take place, as “schoko” delivered her babies that day 🙂
